Are you overheating when wearing your existing mask ?
The importance of staying cool while wearing a mask cannot be overstated. Wearing a mask that traps heat near your face can be suffocating. HEXA's 4-level fan speed solves this problem by drawing air into the chamber and keeping your breathing easy and cool inside the mask.

Will HEXA filter particles and pollutants ?
HEXA's filter media in the mask traps particles and pollutants as you breathe. HEXA's filter can help protect against particles with a median mass aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) of 0.3 micrometers. Typically, HEXA will be able to provide protection against common particle allergens like pollen, plant spores, pet dander, mold and house dust.and other particles as small as 0.3 microns in size.

How does Hexa keep me cool inside the mask ?
Hexa uses fans to draw in air through the filter and circulate within the mask, saving you the effort of doing it yourself. This continuous flow of air combined with HEXA's exhaust system efficiently removes the user's warm, moist exhaled air away from the mask, keeping you cool and dry inside the chamber. This allows you to breathe easily (putting less stress on your own lungs) while simultaneously keeping you comfortable and protected.

What is HEXA's filter made of ?
HEXA's proprietary composite filter includes a traditional melt blown static charge filter and a high tech nano membrane. The filter can capture both oil based and non-oil based airborne particles with >95% efficiency. Technical terms for our filter materials include: ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), polypropylene (PP), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

How loud are the fans ?
HEXA's fans produce a noise in the range of 50 to 65 decibels that lies within the normal range of a conversation. The decibel level varies based on how fast the fans are running, but no higher than 65 dBA at the highest setting.

Can I clean HEXA ?
HEXA's air purifier cover and silicon face seal can easily be cleaned in your dishwashing machine. Using our user manual as a guide, separate them both from the mask place in the dishwasher and run a regular cycle with the rest of your kitchenware. What other specifications can you tell me about the mask?

HEXA weighs approximately 225 grams (excluding the battery) or approximately one half of a pound. HEXA's filtered air flow with the fans at full power can run as high as 150 liters per minute and Hexa is CE & RoHS certified. Most mask that weigh this much have a have different design to help hold it up, it is a bit heavy and I expected that, the fans move a lot of air and one of the better designd I have seen, other than the head strap it seems to work great, do need to buy a power supply

I did not order the charger that you put on your arm, but I still find this product to be much easier to breath in than a cloth or n95 mask. Fits well. Fan is loud on highest setting but easy to converse with on low setting (and provides plenty of flow for my needs). One concern is that I bought this for safety during air travel and the instructions say it may not be allowed on airplanes. Not sure how to get that information ahead of travel.

I currently work in hot, dusty, and humid environments while also following strict mask policies with the current health crisis. With other masks they end up hard to breathe through by the end of my shift from condensation, sweat, and dust. With the large surface area of the filter and the fans, I do not notice any difference in energy required to breathe when I take the mask off at the end of my workday. The mask is on the bigger side, but if you value comfort over minimalism then I think its the right choice. A button up shirt with pockets makes managing the battery and cable pretty simple and the magnet for the cable is strong enough that you can re-attach it without looking easily should you knock it off.

this mask has allowed me to protect myself from the fires of california. Please take a look at the fit guild to make sure your face is less than 125mm. Still working on my perfect fit but the mask allows you to go about your day unlike the traditional mask that i was using before. Nice cool air coming in allows you to enjoy the protection you are getting. If you will be putting it on at work like i do, it will make it a little hard to hear other people talking in a normal indoor voice. So i have requested that they speak a little louder and it is all good

The unit has a FANTASTIC seal. This is the most important feature of any mask. So it meets that mark. However, as an eyeglass wearer it is less than perfect. Also, the unit itself is HUGE and creates blind spots. As an inspector I find it cumbersome to use during inspections. In addition to the blind spots the charging cord can be pulled off easily. I still use the mask on inspections however it is not my primary mask or my favorite. I still use the unit and plan on buying replacement filters. If you don't wear glasses and / or will use the unit just for being at the office type of thing then this mask should meet your needs.

Spent yesterday at the Magic Kingdom Park. The day started at 8:00 am (83 degrees) and overcast. The temperature rose to 92 degrees around 12 when the clouds departed and the sun came out. The mask was comfortable for a majority of the day. The face seal became sweaty after the temp went above 90. Even with the sweaty feel, the mask in my opinion was better than a cloth or N95 mask. The fans gave good airflow, however at the highest setting it’s a little on the loud side. A majority of the day the fans ran at the middle settings and was not an issue. The mask had no issues on any of the rides. It stayed in place even on Big Thunder Mountain and Seven Dwarf Mine Train coasters. The Koolmask performance was far better than the sports mask (with filter and exhale valve) I was using before receiving your mask. The Koolmask also got its fair share of people taking a second look.

Ever since The MTA made it mandatory to wear a mask, I’ve been searching for a better option. I ride the NYC subway during rush hour, I get very hot under my KN95 mask just by standing on the subway platform.
